You requested a response within 30 days. he acknowledge that during the period of January 1, 1984 through January 13, 1984, our facility accepted a number of waste shipments which were accompanied by . manifests on which the Louisiana TSDF number has been included, but not the USEPA-assigned TSDF number. For some reason our personnel were not made aware, until January 9, 1984, of the Department's change of procedure (effective January 1, 1984) whereby manifests were to show the USEPA-assigned TSDF identification number rather than the previously required Louisiana assigned identification number. While it is not clear that the "problem" manifests, identified during the Department's July 19, 1984 inspection, covered hazardous waste shipments, we have determined to correct our copies of those manifests by noting thereon the facility's EPA identification number. This will be completed by September 30, 1984. Should you desire copies of the corrected manifests, I will be pleased to forward them. To prevent recurrence in the future, we have instructed our receipt control personnel to check the TSDF number on every manifest before accepting the shipment. Missing or inaccurate TSDF numbers will be 'hnterci cr corrected contemporaneously with our signing the acknowledgment of -aste receipt.
