Dear Dr. Johnson: I am pleased that arrangements with Dr. Bertram Dinman have proceeded to the stage where he can visit European laboratories to learn what experi ments are in progress and what data are available. I have no suggestions on defining Dr. Dinman*s task other than to include Solvay Et Cie and Dr. Viola in his itinerary. Any other contacts that he can arrange to talk first-hand to investigators should be left to Dinman* s discretion within the limitations set by Dr. Harold Magnuson of the University of Michigan School of Public Health. His primary task should be to establish the exposure concentrations for the Bio-Test study. It would aid our company and I presume other companies if we knew Dr. Dinman*s schedule. We would be particularly interested in the dates he will or has visited Dr. LeFevre, Solvay and Dr. Viola. We would also like to encourage telephoned or teletyped reports from Dr. Dinman to MCA as soon as possible,so that we can get final commitment from all companies. I would also like to encourage MCA and Industrial Bio-Test to proceed as far as possible with arrangements, so that further delays will not occur. Unfortunately we have to work within the schedule of the MCA Board of Directors as well. Since it now seems impossible to get all company commitments before the MCA Board meeting in June, can we have a contract ready to sign by their July meeting?
