The contractor on the project, Elliott Mateo (Stud Finder) stated he just took over this project. Mr. Mateo said he was only installing battens of insulation into the wall cavities that were already opened up by the homeowner, who may have been the original contractor. Mr. Mateo believes the Pueblo Building Department may have shut down this project for unknown reason(s). Since the work that Mr. Mateo will need to do with this house is under the RRP Rule, Maksimuk advised Mr. Mateo that he will need to take the RRP Renovator class and have his company, Stud Finder LLC become a RRP Certified Firm. Maksimuk explained the procedure to get on-board with the RRP Rule. Maksimuk provided Mr. Mateo the Small Entity Compliance Guide and a copy of Renovate Right. When Maksimuk asked Mr. Mateo if he was willing to take the RRP Class and have his firm RRP Certified, Mr. Mateo would not commit to saying "yes".
