Dear Jim,
Thank you for sending the check so promptly! It spared us a nasty note from the bank, especially as we had to run up to Idaho to pick up one of our kids. W e 've been running on empty so long, it's really nice to get reimbursed once in a while.
Did you get the package of exhibits? I think you'll find some stuff there that will be fun to get to the media. (I've enclosed the copying receipt -- the circled items are the exhibits, total $18.95; no panic on that, as tomorrow's the first.)
We would love to meet you and Renate A anyone else who can come along -- .just let us know. We have two cabins and a river to fish and swim in, as many kids and critters as you can tolerate, and the coffee's always on. Paul starts back to law school toward the end of August, but with luck his schedule will let him be home four days a week.
Do you have any more clippings etc. on the National Dioxin Strategy? I want to put a FOIA request together with as much documentation as I can muster and give it to Mike Axline, the lawyer handling my other FOIA action. I don't think there's much point in filing the request unless we're willing to go to court.
Keep us posted on New Zealand -- and anything else that pops up. Your letter on Western Processing is excellent -- I'm glad the material I sent proved so useful. I have some more information on the subject, particularly the 'dioxin-as-magnet' for chlorines A other halogens. I'll try to locate it and send it up soon. Has EPA responded to your letter yet? I'd sure like to see their answer!
Stay in touch.
