The company that-purchased the division will operate under the name J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc and after March 31, will be headquartered in the pipe plant in Stockton, California. For several personal reasons, I will not be joining the new company. The purpose of this letter, therefore, is to offici ally resign from the A/C Pipe Producers Association Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. All correspondence formerly addressed to my attention should now be directed to Alan Verploegh, Vice President of Marketing for the J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. Alan will be headquartered in Denver until March.31, and will then move on to Stockton. After being deeply involved in asbestos cement pipe and the piping industry in general for more than thirty years, the decision to seek employment in some other type of business was a most difficult one and one I really regret having to make. However, logistics and general business conditions seem to indicate that a change is necessary. I have greatly enjoyed my association with the A/C Pipe Producers Association. The organization has been blessed with many fine people in staff and in its membership. I certainly have enjoyed working with you, John, Angie, Art, Lee, and Lloyd and I wish all the very best for the years ahead.
