At the request of Commissioner Her bert Meshun, Pepin County, an MRRPC staff member has looked Into the phys ical effects of PCB In the food chain and the economic effects of the publicity sur rounding the Lake Pepin closing. He will report on these and other aspects of the issue at the Wednesday meeting. In the Commission's role as deaminghouse for proposed federal spending in the Region, the Executive Committee will review the following projects* -a 914,000, six-acre picnic area and softball field in the Village of Ellsworth. -s roadside erosion control program conducted by Monroe County's Soli and Water Conservation District. -a 50-unit housing complex to be built under the auspices of the City of Viroqua Housing Authority. -s concentrated effort by the Corps of Engineers to clear the lower Kickapoo River in Crawford County of snags and debris to reduce flood damages and to en hance recreation poeslbiities.
