Xehoe University of Cinclnna.ti College of Medicine Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Doctor Kehoes In one of your publications in the Journal of Industrial Hygiene in 1953, you reported the urinary excretion of lead of two subjects following removal from exposure. The urinary excretion of lead in these subjects returned to within the normal range in a comparatively short time. I wonder if you have any subsequent observations on the urinary excretions of lead after withdrawal from exposure. I am interested because I have a patient 'who still has a rather high urinary excretion and a high blood level of lead four years after any known exposure. His storage of lead may have been unusually high, because he returned to work following his first episode of what was called lead poisoning and bad a second epi sode with symptoms, which, as we get the history, might be com patible with lead encephalopathy.
