ETHYL CORFORATI ON IXTER -OFFICE COHRESPOXDEN'GE TO Hr. A. H. Chenault a d d r es s Los Angeles f r o m H. K. Ball s u b je c t General Atomics San Diego, California addr ess DATE New York October 3* 1S58 B e y Hume: We have noted your letter of September 30th regarding Mr. E. R. Erskine's contact with the subject company re garding handling of AK-33X. As you know, for the present, and until we receive advice to the contrary from Dr. Kehoe, AK-33X is to be handled exactly the same as "Ethyl" fluid or TEL. The same precautions should be followed. It defi nitely should not be handled the same as benzene. Do you know whether or not Dr. R. A. Sharp signed the cus tomary release when AK-33X was supplied to him? We are passing copies of your reports along to Dr. Kehoe in Cincinnati and Dan Guy in Detroit and we do feel that if Dr. Sharp is not going to go along with our recommenda tions that any requests for future supplies should be with held until he better understands the problem.
