It appears that the natter of mixing Vitol is something with which the Detroit Research Laboratories should, keep in pretty close touch because of the close relationship with the Thompson Company, and because of the constant study being given the subject by various members of the Detroit staff. The number of samples is small and should remain so in the predictable future. For these reasons, It seems beet to continue to have these occasional samples shipped to your laboratory for analysis rather than transfer the activity back to the Gasoline Testing Division. By means of a copy of this letter, I am informing Ham Greenup in Chicago of our feeling in this connection and assume that he will issue instructions to his men in the field to continue send ing Vitol samples to you. Onless I hear from you in the near future, I will assuae that you concur with ray opinion.
