Lohman- HQ Subject: Asbestos and Noise Exposures As you are already aware of, the recent industrial hygiene survey has revealed'that one out of thirty-three asbestos samples tested had asbestos concentration exceeding the Federal OSHA's new standard of 0.2 f/cc. Employee working at the UPL #2 inspection station, Darvin Holder, was exposed to an asbestos level exceeding 0.2 f/cc. Engineering and work practice controls should be applied to this area to lower the airborne asbestos concentrations. In - the meantime, employees working in this area are highly encouraged to wear their respirators. . The recent noise measurements, again, showed that most employees were exposed to noise levels exceeding the Action. Level of 85 dBA measured on an 8-hour TWA.
