Containing a considerable quantity of pure French Process Zinc, Ovalite Enamel produces an intense white finish, and, being rich in oil, will withstand contraction and expansion without cracking or checking. Ovalite White Enamel ia free flowing and easy work ing, producing a rich gloss surface free from brush marks or laps. This enamel dries to a bard elastic him, but, unlike most long oil enamels, does not require an unusually long time to dry. Under normal conditions it dries to re-cost in 24 hours. For best results on new work* Ovalite Enamel should be applied over a foundation of Ovalite Enamel Under costing, or du Poet Quick Drying Undercosting. Ovalite Enamel is supplied in gloss white only, but may be tinted to any desired shade with du Pont Oil Colors. 6 Black Label Quick Drying WThite Enamel rpHis product has been developed to meet the need for 1 an enamel that dries quickly enough to permit s complete two coat job in ooe day, where necessary. It is not a lacquer type product. This speed m drying has been obtained in du Pont Quick Drying White Enamel without a sacrifice of the desirable qualities, such as ease of brushing, flowing and whiteness. It Bows out free from brush marks. Quick Drying White Enamel has good gloss and color, and coven solidly, possessing unusual durability and elasticity. In fact* this product possesses all the good points of the usual long oil enamel* with the out standing advantage of quick drying. It is manufactured with a special gum-type vehicle and carries s high percentage of enamel lithopone* which gives it its extremely fine finish. Du Pont Quick Drying White Enamel dries for re coating in 6 to 8 hours, and is positively hard over night. A two coat job, using one cost of Quick Drying Undercosting and ooe of Quick Drying Enamel* can be completed in a day. This product may also be used over previously finished surfaces, and, due to ita exceptional biding power, one coat is usually sufficient. On new work or surfaces badly checked or worn* two or more coats should be applied over a foundation of Quick Drying Undercoating. Quick Drying Enamel ia supplied in gloss white only, but, where desired* may be with du Pont Oil Colors. Where Urge quantities of color are sdded* however, it should be borne in mind that this addition will alow up the drying time proportionately with the amount of cofor added. Where thinning is necessary, pure spirits of Turpen tine should be used. 7 J DUP 000126 Qyiasler <"Products1 for Q^Hasler ^Painters Black Label Quick Drying Enamel Under coating Black Label Ovalite Enamel Under coating h is product is the companion to do Pont Quick TDrying White Enamel. However, where desired, it may be used as a foundation coat for any enamel finish. It is not a lacquer type product. Two of the outstanding features of Quick Drying Undercoating White are its unusual flowing properties and whiteness. Under normal conditions it flows out free from brush marks, making sanding in most cases unnecessary. Where sanding is necessary, Quick Dry* ing Undercosting sands with remarkah^ ease, and will not gum up the sandpaper. Can be sanded in 6 to 7 hours after application. Quick Drying Undercoating dries to a hard, impervi ous, tight surface which holds out succeeding enamel coats to a remarkable degree. It dries to re-coat in 6 hours. Quick Drying Undercoating White is the result of the development of s new vehicle, which permits the quick drying feature without sacrificing elasticity or durability. With one coat of this product followed by one cost of Quick Drying Enamel, the painter can com plete a two coat job in a day. Where desired, the product may be tinted with da Pont Oil Colon. Where thinning is necessary, pure spirits of Turpen tine should he used. 0vaunt En a me l Un d u c o a g n c is an outstanding product for painter use. It has exceptionally fine brushing properties, and, due to its extreme fineness of grind, perfect flow and does not show brush marks. This feature Mn be appreciated m that it reduces sand ing coats to a minimum. Ovalite Enamel Undercoating sands easily. An out standing characteristic of this Undercoating is that it does not gum up the sandpaper, hut sands to a fine powder. It may be sanded 24 boars after application. It is an ideal product for use as an Undercoating on all enamel work, aa it is more economical than lead and zinc. Its extremely dense body cad tight sealing prop erties bold out succeeding enamel coats, preventing them from striking in. Ovalite Enamel Undercoating dries over night to a low eggshell sheen. When thinning is necessary, pure spirits of Turpen tine is recommended. Its free flowing properties and easy brushing enable the painter to brush any large surface without showing lapa, and with the elimination of brush marks. This product is made with an extremely fine Lithopooe, which insure* unusual fineness of texture and perfect whiteness. It is noted also for its solid corering and hard, tough film. When applied over da Pont Primer-Sealer, Town and Country Flat White will produce a satisfactory two coat job where such a system is required. Although Town and Country Flat sets up slowly, which accounts for its unusual leveling properties, it dries hard over night to a solid film which can be easily washed, if necessary. Due to its heavy body, Town and Country Flat is capable of bolding a nice, low round stipple effect when applied as received in the package. However, for general wall work, it may be reduced with Turpentine or Turpentine Substitute. Town and Country Flat is supplied in white only, but may be tinted to any color with du Pont Oil Color*. MUmc /c tLubml Stippling Flat White DU Po w t St t p t l in c Fl a t Wh it e is an answer to the requirement of the painter for a stippling flat capable of prodnong any type or degree of stipple. It is perfectly adapted to all forms ofstippling, mottling, texturing, etc. Stippling Flat may be stippled in from 10 to 30 min utes, n|hng upon the degree of stipple desired. It covers solidly and acts up slowly. Stippng Flat is a heavy bodied product which brushes out very freely and bolds a wet edge, therefore twlring it possible to cover large areas at a time. Stippling Flat may be used as it comes in the package, but where thinning is necessary, pure Turpentine should be used. When used as sn unstippled finish, reduce with Turpentine to desired consistency. Where tints are desired, use du Pont Oil Color*. For best results on new work. Stippling Flat should be applied over du Pont Primer-Sealer. <_ i ) 10 ll DUP 000128 0Tlasler JzProJu ferOhasler (winters Hlstek Label Du Pont PrimerSealer Du Po n t Pk x mk r -Sr al j er ** one of the most successful wall pdam ever developed. It primes and seals in one operation, producing a most satisfactory founds* tion for all anrrrrriing, costa. While intruded primarily for use on plaster surfaces, Primer-Sealer is suitable also for application on wall* board, ce&otex, brick, tile, concrete or cement. Being properly balanced in its composition of pigment and vehicle, it pres matimw-- sealing properties ss well as satisfactory tooth for succeeding coats. Primer-Sealer is practically unaffected by moisture, and will overcome most of the difficulties that occur where moisture is present, with less possibility of peeling or blistering, than other products of this type. It produces am amiaually elastic and flexible coating that is very resistant to Km* and alkali, making it satisfac tory for use on walls which may not be thoroughly seasoned. Primer-Sealer brushes oat easily and smoothly, and while it is not intended to give solid covering, it does give sufficient coverage to permit of two coat work where necessary. Under ordinary conditions, one coat of Primer-Sealer is sufficient, bat where extremes of suction. Erne or alkali are encountered, two coats may be required. On ordinary surfaces the material should be applied exactly at received in the package. On extremely porous surfaces. Primer-Sealer should be thinned with one pint of Old F.ngtah Paint Oil to each gallon of Primer-Scaler. Where desired, Primer-Sealer may be tinted with do Pont Oil Odors. Prc-tinted wall paints should not be added to this product, nor should Turpentine or Turpentine Substitute be nard in thinning, ss the addi tion of these materials will destroy the balance between vehicle and pigment. 12 Black Label Quick Drying Floor Varnish Dc Po n t Qu ic k Dr t iw c Fl o o r Va r n is h is a heavy bodied od varnish especially designed to meet Master Painters* requiresBests for floor work. While primarily designed for floors, it is also adapted for use on woodwork and other interior surfaces where s wear resistant, quick drying, durable finish is desired. Qmek Drying Floor Varnish is extremely pale in color, brushes out easily, and has good gloss and excep tional body on the work. Under normal drying conditions and on properly prepared surfaces, thia varnish will dry tack free in 4 boms or less. It may be re-coated in from 6 to 8 boors, and has positive drying over night. Qmek Drying Floor Varnish is waterproof, scratchproof and mar-proof. Where thinning is necessary, it may be reduced slightly with pore spirits of Turpentine. 13 DUP 000129 9QYlasler ^ProJucl* for Q/Ylasler S.'Painlet Blank Label Outside Spar Varnish h u it a long oil Tarnish of exceptional durability Tfor me where extremes of exposure are encountered. It is pale in color and possesses a full, rich body and beautiful gloss. Outside Spar brashes oat with uuusual freedom and levels itself out to a smooth, uniform body. Being exceptionally durable, it is particularly desir able for use on such surfaces as front doors, porch ceilings, deck booses, boats, canoes, lawn furniture, etc-, which are directly exposed to the elements. As its name implies, it is especially adapted for the protection of spars on yachts. Outside Spar will withstand the most trying condi tions of temperature and moisture. It is one of the most waterproof Tarnishes available, and will resist the: action of both fresh and salt water. It will positively not turn white, and its extreme elasticity makes far unusual durability under all condi tions of outside exposure. Where thinning is necessary, this product may be reduced slightly with pure spirits of Turpentixte, Outside Spar dries tack free in from 6 to 8 hours under normal conditions, and reasonably hard over night. It may be re-coated after allowing 24 hours for drying between coats. 14 Blank Label General Utility Varnish e Alt all porpoae varnish for painter*' use. It ia suitable for floors* interior trim* and woodwork* and may also be used on exterior surface* not completely exposed to the dements, such as front doors, porch ceilings, railings, etc. TVU product is unusually pale in color and shows very little discoloration over delicate finishes. It is noted for its durability and possesses good resistance to water. This varnish dries with a beautiful high gloss, and has good, full body. Dries hard for re-coating in 24 hours, and dries over night for moderate use. Should thinning be necessary. Turpentine is recommended. The final coat of General Utility Varnish can be rubbed after allowing 46 boors for drying. 15 J DUP 000130 Qflasler ffProJucU for Q^lasler jfPaln leva BlmeU Label Supreme Drier Double Strength DC Po r t bat produced in Supreme Drier an unuao* ally strong, oonoentrated lead manganese drier, which ia one c the moat satisfactory drier* ever devel oped foe painter use. Painter* will find it the type of drier they hare loaf wished for, because of its exceptional drying strength. However, being made os a Linseed Oil base, it will not bora, curdle nor aapooify the paint. While unusually black in color, it does not have the usual tendency to discolor light or delicate tints, because such small quantities are required to give the requisite drying action. It ia an aged drier free from sediment. Tbe experiences of leading Master Painters have proved that a small amount of this drier is sufficient, where throe times as much of the ordinary drier would be nriccsairy. Thia feature in itself indicates the remarkable economy of Supreme Drier. It is made of a specially prepared liquid, together with selected pigments which are not reacted upon by fumes or gaseous vapors. Lab Enamel dries to a hard film, of a high gloss which may be readily washed. Supplied in white only. It is adaptable for either inside or ootaide work, and may be had in Vhite and Ivory, in both high gloss and rubbed effect. FlowKote sbould be applied over a foundation of Oralite Enamel Undercoating. Cn-Vo Va e n is h has been know, and used by leading Master Painter, for many yean. It waa one of the first flat varnishes to be produced in tfaia country: oooeequentiy it ia better known than any otber varnish of Ha type, and hundred, of the old-time painter, would not uee anything else. Wheeler's Liquid Wood Filler seals the wood perfectly to hold out subsequent coats of varnish. It dries quickly and sands easily. Wheeler's Liquid Wood Filler is not recommended for use on floors. Old English Paint Oil TTXU is i product that no paint shop should be with* h*- oat. It is ooe of the most outstanding products known and has been used for years by leading painters throughout the country. Old English Paint Oil is a product of all-around use fulness as a vehicle for general painting. It possesses practically the same body aa Linseed Oil, hut has un usual characteristics which distinguish it from Linseed OiL It is not offered as a substitute but possesses indi vidual merits of its own. Old English Paint Oil is made on s chins wood oil base, which is the most complete oxidizing oil known to science, having been used as a preservative and finish in foreign countries for generations. Old English Paint Oil is much more waterproof than Linseed Oil, and in addition retains its gloss over a longer period of time, drying with a firmer and more lasting gloss.
