Nic,
It was good to talk to you this morning. As I mentioned on the phone, our idea was to set up some meetings for the Secretary in the afternoon after the funeral for Mia Love. I am hosting a zoom call at 3:30 MDT with folks from our state transportation offices, UDOT and UTA, as well as from the Governor's office to discuss specifics.
Our plan is to have a small-group lunch with the Secretary following the funeral service. I understand that Secretary has some interest in taking a ride on the FrontRunner train. We may include a visit to an Olympic venue (or similar location) to discuss Utah's 2034 Games, if feasible, or give him some idea of the infrastructure we will be using for this. We could finish his visit with a larger "round table" discussion with key transportation leaders (local, state, and regional transportation partners)--this would preferably occur near a FrontRunner station and close to the airport. We have some regional transportation venues in mind.
Does this sound like something the Secretary would want, or should we go a different direction? Of course, we're happy to make whatever changes he wants. If you can get back to me before 3:30 my time (5:30 in DC), that would be great.
Best, Lorie
