Polyvinyl chloride resins are considered non-toxic by the Division of Pharmacology of the Food and Drug Adniniatration. From an article appearing in ASSOCIATION GP food a DRUG OFFICIALS of 1TE UNITED STA1ES# VoL. IV# No. 3# July 1951# page 83# we quote in pert as follows* As a general rule# rosins are so insoluble as a class teat the chances of contamination by tee solvent action of foods are rather slight, the types of resins con sidered suitable for food use are* Polyvinyl chloride.
