DEPT: SUBJECT: Glove Bag Usage During the Removal of Damaged Asbestos Gasket Per our phone conversation on May 4, 1987 regarding the removal of asbestos gaskets, it has come to my attention that personal exposures have been measured at or in excess of the 0.1 fiber/cc action level. The ^EL is 0.2 fibers/cc. In order to assure adequate protection of South Charleston Plant personnel, it is required that glove bags be used when removing asbestos containing gaskets that require abrasive actions which would produce' airborne concentrations of asbestos. .
