Kehoe, Kettering Laboratory of Applied Physiology, Eden Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, Dear Doctor Kehoe: As president-elect of the A.A.I.P.S., I am charged with responsibilities concerning the 1945 meeting that are similar to yours as president-elect of the A.I.H.A, I plan on being in Chicago September 12th for a meeting of our general Program Com mittee, to be held at the Swedish Club, 1258 N* LaSalle Street, at 6:00 P.M, Dinner will be served followed by our meeting, I believe that Doctor Holmblad or Doctor Slobe have already invited you to attend this meeting; if not, you are hereby extended a most hearty invitation. Doctor Slobe has kindly forwarded to me your letter to him of August 21st concerning certain objectives to be achieved. I concur most heartily in what you have to say and I see no reason why we cannot accomplish those ideals. The purpose, as well as the future growth and success of both organizations are so closely inter-related that I do not see how we can do otherwise than to cooperate. Problems that may have arisen or may arise are not Insurmountable. The main thing is to do something about it rather than Just talk. I would certainly like to see you at the Chicago meeting on September 12th so that we could get the 1945 program pretty well roughed out and under way.
