For that reason we atteapt to provide all our aeabern whetherabuyers or sellers of pig lead, with statistioal lnforaatioa relating to etoeks* production and ehipaents* as Mr. Carter hae described to you, covering not alone pig lead but also asanfsctured prodnots. Moreover, we are superatlag internationally in that we are exehanging our pig lead statistics with an organisation in London gathering laportant statistics bearing ea the world lead aarket. If you are interected aalnly in the statlstio&l nativities of trade associations X shall oe glad to give you full details of our work* or how it is being handled. Ve have* naturally, been engaged in a great nuaher of other nativities on behalf of our aeabere such as represent ing then in Washington in eoaneotloa with the tariff* Federal Trade Penal ssion* and other natters. Thai again* ve are trying 0000-NLI-000020424 N 2620.02 Hoc (3) to develop new uses for lead through cooperative technical research* and otherwise. Ve are supporting medical researoh intended ultimately to improve sanitary oonditions among users of lead. Ve expect soon to give lead some educational pub licity in a modest way. Summing up we are devoting our ener gies to problems of oomaon Interest to the lead industries. If you feel that there is anything in our experience whloh may prove useful to you please let me know, or,if you wish any supplementary data. Very truly youre. Secretary 0000-NLI-000020425
