We can confirm April 17 at 9:30am for an hour briefing time with an additional 30 minutes, if needed. Please note that the NPC team will likely plan about 30 minutes of presentation and then have discussion/Q&A (this is similar to the format we used in the original briefing). I will be back in touch once we finalize all of the members of the briefing team. Please let me know if you have any questions. At the conclusion of the meeting, there was interest in a follow-up briefing focused on well control and oil spill response. The NPC has worked with our team to identify folks with technical expertise to participate in a follow-up. Peter Velez will lead our team for the follow-up briefing. In addition, Don Armijo, President & CEO of the Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC), is planning to participate. The NPC also anticipates technical experts from Schlumberger (Cameron) and ExxonMobil will participate. It would be helpful to identify a few possible dates so that the briefing team can begin making plans. The time frame of mid-January to early February should provide sufficient planning time. Are there dates that work for you and Scott Angelle? Now that Assistant Secretary Balash is confirmed, perhaps he would want to participate. If a quick background briefing is useful for Joe, we can plan that into the briefing and Peter can cover that material quickly so that we can get into the more technical issues. Just let me know what you prefer. If we can start looking at dates now, perhaps we can put something on the calendar before we all get too busy in 2018. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and hopefully you are scheduling a little time to relax and celebrate.
