The inventory reflects the deletion of three items that appeared on the 1978 August list. These are: 1. - Thermocouple wire with asbestos insulation Tffe&v(> Cs. Replaced with impregnated braided fiberglass insulation 2. Electrical wire with asbestos insulation /&cr:&&s TVS O- Specify Rockhide instead of asbestos 3. Asbestos rope - 5/8" and 1" diameter ZTe rf/Js- AjfrAjvf Replaced with JM Thermopac 2300 ceramic fiber rope Trials of replacement materials for Marinite and for asbestos mittens are underway. Also, an unsuccessful attempt to use a non-asbestos insulating material instead of-ebony asbestos for the new pot covers was made. Most of the items remaining on the list are packing and gasketing items which are felt to have an extremely low health hazard potential. Our major efforts continue to be directed at mittens and Mari nite. No effort is being made locally to find a substitute brake lining material or transite potroom fume duct. E. B.
