The use of the MSDS, which was originated under the Longshorlng and Maritime Safety Act, baa increased tremendously, and continued Increases of use will occur under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. We have bad numerous requests for assistance in completing the USDS, and aa a result, have written guidelines which are general, but provide specific information relating to lead in Sections H--Hazardous Ingredients, and V--Health Hazards. The statement referring to the "Effects of Over* exposure* for lead vas based on responses from the members of the Fhrlrooaental Health Committee of the LXA and the specific wording is recommended for all exposures involving lead.
