One area TRC has speci ali zed in over the years is what is known as "1ia b i 1ity trans fers" ; essentially where TRC "stands in the sho e s " of thei r envi ronmental clients for hazardous waste cleanup sites and becomes contractually responsible for the site (for a fee and with envi ronmental insurance backstoppi ng the transacti o n ) .
