Safety Safety is of prime importance in all work,' and especially in driv ing test cars. The driver of each car shall be responsible for adapting to the prevailing road, traffic, and weather conditions and thus maintaining safe driving practices. B. . Driving Procedures This test trip includes mild initial brake use gradually increasing in severity through Eastern Ohio. Brake use becomes more severe through West Virginia and reaches maximum severity on Potts Mountain. The return trip involves brake use .which decreases in severity to mild use. ' 1. Reproducibility In order for the test to be reproducible, all'cars shall be driven at the same speed and the brakes shall be used in the same manner. The following further steps shall be taken: a. A driver experienced in this test shall drive the lead car. b. The other drivers Shall be experienced drivers and shaLl maintain their positions in the caravan. c. The cars shall be rotated rearward one position at each write-up stop. d.
