Fabrication Machine Shop was chosen some years ago to be the test site for a M.K. type spray on insulation system being developed by our company. The walls and roof of the machine shop were sprayed witn this material. Over the years, we have experienced : the problem of this material loosening and falling into the work place. : Also, the material on the walls has absorbed oils and greases from the machining operation which has caused a fire hazard. To retain the falling material and improve the comfort of the machine shop personnel, the roof was covered with a paper covered E.P.S. Board (R-Barrier) in 1979/80. Soon afterward, this material began to separate and the paper now hangs down in stalagmite fashion from the roof. In order to correct this condition and improve the general appearance and safety of the work place, this material should be removed and disposed of. The enclosed photographs show not only patches of bare walls but sprayea material ready to fall and material laying on the floor. Photos were also taken of R-Barrier paper hanging from the roof.
