C. 20009 Dear Dr* Johnson: We have reviewed the protocol for the vinyl chloride study which you circulated on July 14 as well as Dr* Torkelson's letter of August 1* We find the protocol satisfactory. In response to questions raised by Dr. Torkelson, we suggest that the acetylene based groups be treated the same as the ethylene based in every respect. I believe the proposed protocol will accomplish this. The three manufacturers have agreed to bear the cost of the work caused by addition of an extra group.
