Acting on a suggestion of the Board of Directors of the Lead Industries Association, I ccercunicated by telegraph, with Paul Porter, Administrator of OPA, seeking an informal conference to determine the policy of the OPA with respect to the establish ment of ceiling prices on manufactured lead products in the event there should be any increase in the ceiling pries of pig lead, I was also instructed by our Board to petition Congress for relief in the event that the OPA did not grant it to the manufacturers. * ' Accordingly arrangement for an informal meeting with s cross section of our members representing both metallic lead pro ductsyand lead pigments was made, at short notice, for Friday, Kay 10, in the OPA headquarters in Washington, D.
