The program will be substantially as outlined by Dr. Greenberg in his proposal of November IS, 1958 with minor revisions as resulted from our inter view with Pood and Drug on December 15 1958. The change is essentially as follows: six of twelve animals from exploratory one week exposure will be examined very com pletely (exhaustive pathology) to determine tissues which will be examined after three months test. So that some changes may be evident from this relatively 3hort ex posure, a concentration will be used which may be some what higher than that for 3 months test. We will attempt to set a concentration which will show minimal symptomatic effects nn single eight-hour exposures, and hope that some pathology will be evident after one week's exposure. Fail ing any pathology on this teat we can either repeat at a higher concentration or do complete pathology on a few animals at the end of the three months test and then look only at affected organs in the remainder of the animals. This may increase pathology costs somewhat, but it should not be large as compared to total cost of project. As to method of payment, it was recommended that payment be made in advance as follows: To Yale University - $4,500 + 10$ overhead .................................$4,950.00 1.
