At pre sent the PDA opposes a ban on sales of PCBs but this should not lead to complacency on the part of any user of PCBs. Oovernment agencies may not maintain this attitude If there Is evidence of PCBs still being used In areas where food supplies (in the widest sense) can be contaminated either directly or Indirectly. This means we must continue our efforts on heat transfer fluid con versions in "peripheral" applications. We must make sure that pollution control Is being practiced In plants where PCBs can still be used (e.g. dielectrics).
