Althoughv we can not positively state, we feel the chances of any reaction between Aroclor or its off gases with the aluminum flaks are very alia. Some time ago, tests were run on Aroclor to determine the gases evolved when the product is heated. In this test, the Aroclor was dropped onto a heated hot plate and the off gases were collected and analysed. The great majority of these off gases were HCL; particularly in the case of the three Aroclors In question* However, it should be pointed out that wherever Aroclor la used at elevated temperatures, at or above 150*F, strong mechanical ventilation should be utilised. Aroclor fumes are not only obnoxious, but oan be hasardeus. JHO/cas J. H. OXBH STLCOPCB4064223
