Dear Assistant Secretary Balash, I am writing to request a meeting time with you during our upcoming visit to DC (Monday June 18-Wednesday June 20) to discuss the Methow Headwaters mineral withdrawal request currently underway in Washington state. We acknowledge the mutual importance of this topic to you, your department, and our community's interests. As such, we place great value in the opportunity for us to meet and share thoughts and steps forward on this important topic. We have been working closely with Congressman Newhouse and his office who have been very supportive of our community's effort - I have cc'd Sean O'Brien on this email from Congressman Newhouse's office. We have overwhelming local, regional, and state-wide support of our request from elected officials at all levels, as well as various other organizations representing citizens, ranchers, farmers, and outdoor recreationist's, including outdoor sportsman's groups.
