Introduction On February 14, 2024, a Clean Air Act (CAA) Asbestos NESHAP Inspection was conducted at The Metropolitan Wynnewood, located at 250 E. Wynnewood Rd., Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. a. Summary of Site / Facility The Metropolitan Wynnewood is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Metropolitan Wynnewood is a multi-building apartment complex. The site is being renovated, including asbestos abatement in the crawl spaces of several buildings. b. Entry and opening conference EPA, Region III Inspector Richard Ponak arrived at the facility at approximately 10:30 am on February 14, 2024, for an unannounced inspection. Upon arrival, Inspector Ponak met Alec Yarnell and Rose Jodziewicz, inspectors for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. II. Site / Facility Walkthrough The Inspectors walked through the apartment complex. The inspectors did not observe any signs of asbestos abatement going on. There were not representatives from Shade Environmental, the asbestos contractor on site. III. Records Review No records to review IV. Closing Conference Since it appeared the asbestos abatement project had not started, the inspectors decided to conduct another inspection at a later date.
