(Ruff) Cook, Vice President Phenolic Molding Compounds, has decided that he should relinquish his full-time duties with the company as of January 31, 1976. Ruff's decision is based . on his doctor's advice that he get away from-seme of the stress and strain which seems to he part of business life, and take things a little easier. Although he will be giving up his responsibilities as a product manager, Ruff will continue to handle sales to a few, major phenolic molding compound customers Is the New fork Metropolitan area, Ruff joined the company in 1953 as Sales Manager - Phenolic Resins and Foundry Products. In 1964 he became Sales Manager - Phenolic Molding Compounds. In 1967, in addition to his sales responsibilities, he became General Manager of our Carteret, New Jersey plant and was named a corporate Vice President. Our success in molding compounds has been, In no small'measure, due to Ruff's dedicated efforts. While we very much regret the need for Ruff, to make a change, we are, .at the same time, pleased to announce the promotion of J. I. ( H r ) Salas Manager - Phenolic Molding Compounds. Jim has worked within the RCI i 'organization since 1959. B e began his career in Montreal with Reichhold -J Chemicals Canada (now Reichhold Canada Limited) working in the development | and production of phenolic resins. Be subsequently moved to the Lindsey, I Ontario plant where he wee involved in production and technical service an phenolic molding compounds. He later was engaged in the sale of phenolic molding'compounds in Canada. . Jim; came to RCI in 1969, joining us at our Carteret, New Jersey plant where he worked In molding compound production and. development. In 1973 he-was promoted to Manager o f Technical Service - Phenolic Molding Compounds in the course of which he has had considerable exposure to sales.. He lives in East Windsor, New Jersey with his two sons. We are also pleased to announce that S. B. (Steve! MwaebamT the former Assistant Technical Service Manager is being named Technical Service Manager - . Molding Compounds. Steve has had 16 years experience in Che molding compound f l a w . Us has been with RCI- since 1969 when he joined the company as Assistant Production Supervisor in our molding compound plant at Carteret. `Prior to joining R C I Steve vaa a process engineer for the General Electric Company in their molding compound plant. Re is originally from Pittsfield, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Massachusetts State College with a B.S. in Chemistry. Ha lives in Fanwood, New Jersey with his wife and two daughters. Ovet. ,
