OLD BUSINESS
1. Plant Safety Program
Mr. Keating reported that this committee was working on the program and a more complete report would be made at the next meeting.
2. Procedure Bulletins
Copies of the revision to P-0120, Addendum A, were circulated to the members of the Board and their comments were requested to be submitted to the Safety Department by April 17.
Also, a new rating form for the Housekeeping Committee was presented and comments are requested on this by April 17.
Mr. Chamberlin announced that the Annual Housekeeping Inspection made by the Company would be held in September and that this inspection would be more in the form of a revievj of facilities which would Include housekeeping and safety as two of the items.
3. Testing Pressure Tank Bomb3
Mr. Pox said that his committee was working on the project, and they would have a more complete report for the next*meeting.

4. Awards
The subject of awards was again discussed, but no conclusion was reached.
5. Color Code--Water
Mr. Browning recommended that the color code cards now on hazard boards used in the various areas be revised in the individual areas by providing new signs. Mr. Wood will obtain the new signs and distribute them to the areas.
/6. Air ReceTvers
Several air receivers have been checked for corrosion since the last meeting and Mr. Chamberlin asked that all air receivers in -the plant be checked. The superintendents will handle this.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Supervisor Safety Training
General approval was given by the Board to provide supervisor's safety training to manufacturing supervision,making it available to other supervision on an optional basis. Mr. Gilmore was re quested to prepare a detailed program for Mr. Chamberlin's ap proval.
2. Safety Program Ideas
A. Off-The-Job Safety
It was agreed that since a sizable portion of off-tne-job injuries are a result of automobile accidents, "Traffic" should be the subject of the Off-The-Job Safety Program.
Several ideas were discussed, and a supervisory committee will be formed to provide the program. This committee will be selected by the Safety Department and approved by the Plant Manager.
B. Supervisory Safety Meetings
Mr. Gilmore suggested that he would like to present a training meeting for manufacturing supervision on the use of statistics. This was approved, and tentatively set for April 27. It was also suggested that the movie, "Hazards of Air," be presented to supervision, but this was tabled for further consideration and possible preview by the Board.

3. Hourly Safety Committee
Item M - Additional pipe rack signs will be Installed over the next year to make the plant complete. The Hourly Safety Committee had asked that the present signs be brought up to date and the Safety Department was asked to expedite this.
Item N - The Board agreed that the First \id Training new being conducted for the crafts would be extended to include sessions on emergency training. At the completion or the present training, consideration will be given to extend this to other groups in the plant.
Item 0 - The lighting will be improved at dock No. 4, but additional lights cannot be justified along the temporary road. Mr. Ryan will study this problem further on an individual case basis.
Item P - From reports received from Utilities, condensate is being transported to the power department in plastic containers; and this report will be given in the Hourly Safety Committee.
4. Potable Water
Mr. Grissom is studying the addition of potable water at the No. 4. dock.
5. Drum Labeling
Mr. Wood stated they had received the new drum labels, but they were not of acceptable quality, and, therefore, the program will be delayed until these labels can be replaced.
6. Miscellaneous Items
Mr. Gilmore, in discussing recent emergencies, namely, the sewer explosion and the fire In the research lab, 3tated that these emergencies attracted too many spectators. He asked the superintendents to tell their people to please stay away from emergencies unless their presence was needed for the handling of that emergency.
Mr. Gilmore reminded the superintendents that their nominations for the Hourly Safety Committee were needed by May 1, and they would receive their letters to list these nominations shortly.
