His argument Isas toon that sueh a change would in the end .save sm money in increased mileage and in general superior engine performance. In this ho may ha correct but thora is soasthing else involved hare which has appeared to m of much greater importance than saving,pennies. This other factor concerns the possible health hazard which the growing me of lead, impregnated gasoline presents. Lead poisoning is as you know ana of the most dangerous forms of toxication Isiowa. . Its' Baneful effects derim from the fact that load poisoning is cumulative' over a period of years ending perhaps in (so 1 ham been in forced) cancer# nervous, ^disorders and serious-, skin diseases. On what: principles then do you feel safe in enoourag ing'th use of leaded gasolines for motor fuel when It is obvious that on cannot avoid breathing some of the fumes which are spsued forth from the exhaust pipoes of the thousands of care said trucks which; saeve up and down our busy streets every day? If my objections are valid what we need la a new kind of automobile motor and the Associate Oil Company should see that such motors are built by making the facts generally haem.
