Since Lamar's name came up in our discussion on Monday, X thought you would be interested in his appraisal of the talc potential of the Canadian ore body.
X am a.lso attaching Tom Shelley's npte of June 4th covering
his discussions in England.

Note the use of concentration techniques in the drafted specification for the analysis of asbestos. Also, X have di'scussed with Shelley that the samples to be sent by Dr. Rolle will be the 20 recent samples of powder in which we found no tremolite-actinolite, by the optical technique.
Shelley reports that Pooley has found actinolite in our Vermont talc by his concentrating technique. Italian talc, .by'the same technique, appears to be free of amphiboles. I have sent the report referred of 1. W. Sloan on to Roger Miller for their study.
