Simmer time safety was discussed. Brochures were handed out to be passed out to the Untt/Craft Representatives by the HSC.
The problem with scaffold boards that are used to shore up holes tn the ground not being used for other purposes was discussed. Scaffold boards used for shoring should not be re-used for scaffolds.
A question asked about what happened to the fire blankets that use to be in the plant was answered. They were removed because water provides a better substitute.
People not leaving their keys in the vehicles parked In the plant Is still a problem. Also, the designated parking spaces have not been \ Identified. SHAC is currently working to get space designated plus put signs in vehicles to serve as a reminder to leave keys in the ignition.

New Business It was pointed out that the Orthoxylene Tank that overflowed earlier could not be properly Identified by the person turning in the alarm due to the size of the letters. It was suggested that the letters should be larger than they are that Identify plant functional Item numbers. The S711 tank pit area needs shell In the area because It is slick In the area due to chemicals on the ground. Also, seme walk ways are fabricated for this area but have not been installed. The pedestrian crosswalks in the plant have stop signs rather than the standard crosswalk signs that are used outside the plant. It was expressed that more small 5 minute safety meeting that are held in the area seem to be more effective than the large craft safety meeting.
Our next meeting will be at 1:30 PM in Personnel Conference Room I 1 on July 31, 1984.
