As I mentioned, I am actively trying to get appointment as EPA Region 1 Administrator, and I am trying to get my resume highlighted within the EPA Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations, which is the EPA Office that deals with regional issues. The new Associate Administrator for this EPA Office is Troy Lyons, who was formerly a Manager for Federal Governmental Affairs at Hess Corporation. Getting a political appointment requires building as strong a political base as possible. As I mentioned, so far I have the backing of Vincent DeVito, the Trump campaign manager for Massachusetts and Ron Kaufman, the Massachusetts GOP National Committeeman, who was an early Massachusetts Trump supporter. I have gotten my resume in front of Reince Preibus, the Chief of Staff to the President, Gary Cohn, the Director of the National Economic Council, and Justin Clark, the Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House. And, I have also successfully reached out to Gov. Baker (R) of Massachusetts, Gov. Scott (R) of Vermont and Sen. Collins (R) of Maine.
