We attach-hereto the necessary papers to cover the employment/ of this man. 1 Very truly yours G:C Kr 0 0 00 5 6 5 March 7, 1932 Mr* A* E. Mittnacht, Ethyl Gasoline Corp., Chrysler Bldg., New York, N, Y. V' ^ Bear; jMr. Mittnacht: ' A I have come across an unusual opportunity to study\a case of very mild lead exposure, one which in my opinion is just on the border line of significance. This will be particularly valuable data in connection with our study of the gasoline problem, for if it turns out as I expect it to, this case will show how easily possible It is to detect even a minute but significant exposure, whereas it is my opinion that in the case of the two men previously employed, no significant expqsure will be demonstrated. This is anticipating re sults somewhat, but you will understand of course that the facts will not be influenced by my preconception. In any case, I think it very advantageous to study this man for a period of some three or four months, and since the sum Involved is not very large, I have taken the liberty of beginning the study without obtaining your approval In advance. The gentleman in question is a medical student named Jones, whom I should like to em ploy at $50.00 a month plus additional expenses for his food, for a period of some four months. If this meets with your approval I would be glad If you would have the proper forms sent to me for his signature, the mat ter of expense to he taken care of in the same manner as It has been on the other two subjects. : Very truly yours, RAK:EJT HE 0000566
