E. Scott Pruitt Administrator o f the United States Environmental Protection Agency Scott Pruitt was confirmed as the 14th Administrator of the U S. Environmental Protection Agency in February of last year. Since the beginning of his tenure, Administrator Pruitt has been committed to ensuring EPA gets back to the basics of managing and protecting our environment by engaging with state, local, and tribal partners to create regulatory certainty and enhance economic growth. Administrator Pruitt has spearheaded over two dozen significant regulatory reforms, including actions to rescind the so-called Clean Power Plan and the 2015 "Waters of the United States" rule. All told, EPA has issued more regulatory reform actions than any other federal agency in the first year of the Trump presidency. Making it a priority to embrace cooperative federalism and get out of Washington, Administrator Pruitt has visited nearly 35 states to meet directly with stakeholders who often went ignored by the previous administration. Pruitt's other significant accomplishments include establishing science transparency at the Agency, ending the practice of "Sue and Settle," and working with President Trump to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. Prior to serving in the Trump Administration, Pruitt served as Attorney General of Oklahoma, where he became a national leader through a career of advocating to keep power in the hands of hard-working Americans. Pruitt also served eight years in the Oklahoma State Senate, in addition to co-owning and managing Oklahoma City's Triple-A minor league baseball affiliate. Pruitt played baseball at the University of Kentucky, earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown College and received his law degree from the University of Tulsa. Fie and his wife Marlyn have been married for 27 years and proudly raised their two children in Tulsa. Sierra Club v. EPA 18cv3472 NDCA Tier 1 ED 002061 00071043-00001
