INGESTION: Single dose oral LD50 has not been determined. Single dose oral toxicity is believed to be very low. No hazards anticipated from swallowing small amounts incidental to normal handling operations. INHALATION: Dust may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract. Thermal degradation of the resin may generate hydrogen chloride gas at concentrations which may cause eye and respiratory irritation. SYSTEMIC & OTHER EFFECTS: This product contains nonfibrous talc which, if breathed, is capable of causing mild respiratory effects which may or may not cause symptoms such as coughing or difficulty in breathing. Repeated ingestion of calcium carbonate by humans has not resulted in known significant effects. CANCER INFORMATION: Did not cause cancer in long-term animal studies (nonfibrous talc). TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECTS): Birth defects are unlikely. Exposures having no adverse effects on the mother should have no effect on the fetus (ta1c).
