At a meeting held a t Newark, Ohio l a s t month, a t which Hr, H irth .and o th e rs of the O w ens-Illinois Corporation were present . t.h p u b lic a tio n o f th e work, th a t you have done on fib e r g la s , was discussed* You w ill r e o a ll th a t, hen th e work was fin ish e d , Mr. H irth thought th a t due to previous le g a l com plications such p u b lic a tio n s would be improper. However, a f t e r going thoroughly over th e su b je c t, such opinion has been changed to where we th in k th a t such a re p o rt published in the Jo u rn al o f In d u s tr ia l Hygiene o r some o th e r s u ita b le iss u e may h elp to c l a r if y th e muddle th a t some people a re in regarding the hygienic fe a tu re s o f the product.
I t was a ls o suggested by one o f th e laymen p re se n t, th a t, perhaps, a conclusion based in th e term s o f th e l a i t y might help to make th e re p o rt more understandable to them*
I t was brought out a t th a t tim e th a t th e s o lu b ility of th e g lasses had changed in p hysical c h a r a c te r is tic s , since you did your work, so I am enclosing a copy of th e d u r a b ility o f g la s s e s , which we now use.
