FLINTKOTE Ready-Mixed Joint Compound can be used to embed tape, to fill and finish joints, lo coal corner bend and fasteners, and may also be used for texturing gypsum wallboard. Store at room temperature (65" to 70"F) lo r at least 24 hours belore using. If compound does freeze allow to thaw at room temperature. Do Not Force Thaw. If any liquid has sepa rated from the compound, remix before using. Clean water may be added if thinner compound is desired, not to exceed 3 ounces per gallon of compound. APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS f Apply FLINTKOTE Ready-Mixed Joint Compound in a thin layer at joint and embed joint tape in compound. Afler compound has dried (usually overnight), cover tape with another appli cation. feathering compound out 3 to 4 inches on oach side of joint. When dry, apply a second coat over the tape and feather out 5 to 7 inches on each side of joint. After final application is dry, compound may be sanded It necessary, in preparation tor decoration. Coal fastener heads with FLINTKOTE Ready-Mixed Joint Compound each lime compound is applied to the joints. Normally three (3) coats of compound on fastener heads is sufficient. SUGGESTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS 1. Protect from freezing. Heal shall be maintained at 55F, minimum during application and until compound has dried. * i 2. Allow previous applications to dry thoroughly before recoatlng. 3. Do not mix with any other Ready-Mixed or dry powder joint compound, 4. Follow Instructions of point manufacturer when decorating gypsum wallboard. PROTECT FROM FREEZING
