Arrow indicate air flow The S-N Air Conditioner is De-Luxe in design and finish. The burner is entirely enclosed (either oil or gas), and is located just under the combustion chamber. Access to the burner or air blowers is through panels which are quickly removable. The products of combustion flow upward as indicated in the cut and pass over the rear wall of the com bustion chamber and downward and out into the bottom of the economizer sections. There are six economizer sections and the hot gases pass upward in these sections to the top and back where they enter a header which connects to the chimney. The air filters, located above the economizer sections, are removable from either side of the conditioner. The cool air first contacts with the cooler part of the economizer sections and flows downward between and around the sections into the suction of the blowers. The air discharge from the blowers passes over the lower part and outer sides of the combustion chamber, then upward as indicated by the arrows, thereby contacting progressively with hotter and hotter surfaces. The large amount of surface exposed to the air, coupled with the true contra-flow makes for very high efficiency. The compartment that contains the blowers is entirely separated by partitions from the compartment that contains the burner. The air for the burner is taken through a separate pipe which connects to the outside of the casing. The water spray for humidifi cation is located just under the lower part of the combustion chamber. The casing is lined with air cell insulation. The air blowers are mounted on the floor and float on rubber cushions. The burner is mounted on insulation and is entirely enclosed. The unit is very quiet in operation. 765
