Wilkinson, Medical Advisor, Imperial Oil Refineries, Limited, Sarnia, Ontario, and, Dr. Austin Evans, Medical Advisor, Imperial Oil, Limited. These two reports constitute most of the information that we can get on the case up to the present time. . You will note that Dr. Evans states in his letter that this is the first alleged lead poisoning case that has occurr ed at any of the Mixing Plants of Imperial Oil Refineries. To my knowledge this man has never had anything whatever to do with the mixing of Ethyl Eluid in the Gasoline. His work, since I have known about him, has been confined entirely to laboratory work and he does not come in contact with the concentrated fluid at all. This man has had considerable sickness since he has been working with Imperial Oil and I think this complaint is just a case of having something that he can base his claim on, and I really don't think it has any thing whatever to do with the Ethyl Eluid. , .- However, as this is the first definite claimwe have against us on lead poisoning, we think it would be best to follow it through thoroughly and get it straightened out - sort of create a precedent in this particular case as it were. We are making ar rangements with Mr, Leaver, Superintendent, Imperial Oil Refineries, Limited, Sarnia, to arrange for an examination of this man. It is very unfortunate for us that he has left the employ of Imperial Oil and is nowworking for the Ontario Brewing Association at Sarnia, However, Mr. Leaver is to let me know immediately if this can be ar rtaon,gwede awnidllIbtehianbklethtoatmiefeteivnerSytahrinniga,wForrikdsayoumt otrhneinwg,aypwroeveidxipnegctthitis will be convenient for you. I would like very much if you would handle this parti cular case yourself as I think Dr. Evans would like to have a talk Dr.R.A.Kehoe. - 2 - May9th, 1928. with you and get some information along the lines of the work you are conducting in regard to lead poisoning. Also, as I have never had an examination by you since entering the employ of the Ethyl Gasoline Corporation, I think it would he a good time to do so if we can find the time. However, there is no doubt that if you are unable to con duct this ease yourself, that one of your assistants will be perfect ly capable of handling the situation. I will telegraph you immediately I hear fromMr. Leaver as to the best time to meet at Sarnia. You no doubt knowall the train schedules from Cincinnati to Detroit and from Detroit it would be best to take the Interurban Line fromthere to Port Huron and cross over on the Perry and we can meet you then at the Imperial Oil Refiner ies.
