Conclusions
The litharge operators, who have the highest exposure, have some of the lowest lead levels which backs up the theory that blood lead level is more a function of hygiene habits than exposure.
However, a sloppy operator will have a lower lead count if he works in low exposure areas than if he worked in a high exposure area.
Our most serious problem is primarily with only five of our twenty-one employees with daily exposure to lead dust.
There must be two points of attacks
1. Modify our existing ventilation and exhaust systems to reduce airborne lead dust concentration.
2. Improve our personal hygiene control.

Effective January 1st, each employee will be given the
opportunity to earn an award for excellent achievement in maintaining low blood lead levels.
SS-H green stamps will be awarded bv schedule:
following
Everytime an employees blood lead level is below 0.06
Award: 1 book (1200) S&H stamps
If all employees are below the $*06 level
A bonus of 1 book (1200) S6H stamps
This means that an employee who follows the safety, housekeeping, hygiene rules diligently can be awarded six
books of. stamps per year.
If all employees are below 0.06 all year long, then all employees would receive twelve (12) books per year.
