Dear Nick: Thanks for your help in inputing comments to the SCAQMD on pro posed rule 1005.1, Your effort was fantastic! I was very impressed with your astute comments and method of presentation. Let's hope the District really will give the document some consideration. Recent conversations with District Staff member, John Mosher, leads me to think that the State Air Resources Board is really "ramrodding" the rule and that they are not allowing much flexibility from the local District. We suspected this already,but John told me, for a fact, that in subsequent meetings ARB personnel are not allowing many changes. He did indicate the rule-making proceedings will be slowed so that public hearings will probably be held in September. He expects another workshop meeting in mid July.
