The information was studied statistically and the conclusions were that there is too much variation between laboratories to consider writing an ASTM Magnetic Specification at this time, both the Turner and Mapes gave question able values. -------- Recommendations were heard that a second series of tests be started and to have a representative from Bell Asbestos Mines, Mr. Walter Smith, monitor techniques and personally bring the samples into the member companies laboratory. This assignment should be completed prior to the February smeting. Magnetic standards were discussed end Mr. Lincoln and Mr. Nicodcmus will consider using electrical techniques in the preparation and measurements of the proposed standards.
