Two all-day and three peak asbestos samples were taken by St. Louis per sonnel under the requirements of the semi-annual monitoring program. The results are summarized below:
Sample Identification #1 Lincoln Saw Operator (10/7) #7 Beaterman (10/7)
#1 Lincoln Saw Operator (10/7) #7 Beaterman (10/7) Sample Crateman (10/3)
Time (min) 270 242
15 15 15
Fibers/cc (TWA) 0. 8 1.5 Fibers/cc (Peak) 1.6 10.1 0.6
The peak sample taken on the #7 Line Beaterman gave results in excess of the 10.0 fibers/cc peak exposure limit. However, it is noted that there was some difficulty with the limestone system. Therefore, it is recommended that two additional peak samples be taken on this job classification in the near future.
