Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Doctor: Dr. Mancuso of the Department of Health has just given me a copy of your letter of March 28, and the report of Dr. Rydfer on the Magnus Metal Plant. I amvery glad to have this information and to advise you as to our position in the situation. We find that ten claims have been filed. The first on January 11, which has been sent out for investigation. Three were filed in February and six in March. OnMarch 20, a letter was written to this company asking whether they had secured the services of your laboratory or of engineers from the National Lead Company and requesting that we be advised what preventive measures had been adopted. We have not received a reply to our letter. Unless we receive other information it is very probable that one of our laboratory men will go into the plant this week. We are anxious to be of any possible assistance to correct conditions in this plant. WED:abd
