Womac Subject: Asbestos Nonproduction Materials Utilization Survey A re-examination of the uses of asbestos containing substances/products with in our plants is required in view of recent government statements indicating an intent to control the use of asbestos in the future. The accompanying survev forms have been developed to assist the piant6 in identifying common asbestos containing materials/products and their usage/application. The survey information will be reviewed with Industrial Hygiene and Toxicolog\, Employe Health Services. Applications which are identified in the survey as material handled/used such that asbestos fibers might become airborne will be monitored, as appropriate, and evaluated for possible material substitutions or additional controls to assure adequate employe protection. Stock Code or Mfg. Std. Ko.: Enter the local stores stock code number, Manu facturing Standards M-number, shop trial number, or trade name, as applicable. Annual lsage: Enter the annual usage in the common unit of trade. Approxi mations may be used if extensive research would be required. Application: Check the appropriate box. Manufacturing processing materials are those specified by Manufacturing Engineering. Maintenance materials are those specified bv the Plsnt Engineering Department. If the material is a contractorsupplied item, check under "MA1NT."
