This decision was made unanimously by the member company representatives on January 29,2007. The Benzene Health Research Consortium (BHRC) wishes to clarify its letter of February 23, 2007. The intent of the words "confirm unanimous support for funding through CinPathoGen, Inc., for the completion of the Shanghai Health Study" was to communicate a vote of the consortium oversight committee members on January 29,2007. The consortium members understood that actual contracting would be subject to API processes and procedures and agreement with the University of Colorado. It was not the intent of the letter to appear to be making a commitment on behalf of API. The consortium desires that the study be completed and encourages the timely resolution of and execution of supporting contracts.
