Raise the aqueous level in the DH Feed Tank to the phase off point (the nozzle leading to the diaphragm pump used to remove the aqueous from the I.C. Tank and the DH Feed Tank). DO NOT RAISE THE ORGANICS LEVEL TO THIS POINT, ONLY THE AQUEOUS LEVEL. Open all valves from the DH Feed Tank phase - off nozzle to the Steam Stripper Phase Separator (thru the diaphragm pump) CONFIDENTIAL: Subject to Protective Order of 14th Judicial District Court No. 91-1145 pg 1 of 2 5. Connect the nitrogen hose to the diaphragm pump and slowly send nitrogen to the pump to pump slowly. Notify the control room that DU Feed Tank Aqueous is being sent to the Steam Stripper Phase Separator and to monitor the Steam Stripper Phase Separator pH (A-905). Cell Liquor may have to be added. 6. Pump the aqueous down to the point where the surface of the aqueous is about 1 foot from the organics level. Check the pump suction periodically for organics. 7. Shut off nitrogen to the pump. S. Close the DH phase-off line block valve at the tie in to the I/C Tank phase off line. 9. Block the diaphragm pump discharge valve. 10.
